Jan. 28, 2010-Six Minute Century announced for Prog/Power showcase September 9, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. Also on the bill is Canadian band Borealis, Norwegian band Leprous, and headliner German power metal masters Accept.
"Texas progressive metal artist Six Minute Century starts off the festivities with a long awaited, and well deserved appearance. Hard hitting, melodic, progressive, great songwriting, and soaring vocals are all a part of what this truly talented American band has to offer. With years of live, touring and recording experience between them, it is far past time that the Progpower century hits the Six Minute mark. Fans of Savatage, John Arch"esque" vocals and other similar bands of the genre rejoice. Check out their debut release "Time Capsules" on ITunes, CD Baby, or through Nightmare Records."November 13,2009....
Nightmare Recording Artist Six Minute Century is proud to announce the addition of bassist Michael Millsap to the band. Michael has been playing bass since the age of nine, and began performing at age 13. Michael received formal classical training at South Plains College and Wayland Baptist University. Michael has studied under bass legends Gary Willis, John Adams, and Dean Peer. Professionally, Michael has played many styles of music from swing dance and country to rock and heavy metal. Michael recently played with 80’s rockers Axe, has backed up national gospel group “The Imperials”, and notably Michael beat out bassists from across the United States for the bass slot in “TEXAS: The Musical Drama” in Palo Duro Canyon. "The new music from "SIX MINUTE CENTURY" while maintaining their signature sound, the new album sounds darker and more progressive, again this band throws everything and the Kitchen sink into their music, but in such a wonderfully unique and skilled way, you’re captivated and moved emotionally." Lance King - voice in metal and CEO of Nightmare Records
